WEST BENGAL PERSECUTION UPDATE
: Happy to inform all our friends and prayer partners with much joy that our brethren who were in jail got the bail on 31st March and today all the bail procedures were done and after 16 days they all have reached their respective homes safely. Praise be to His Exalted Name! (ST)
A gospel team was arrested in West Bengal at Burnpur, on 15th March 2012 at Burnpur, near Asansol while doing an Gospel work. During preaching villagers called Police men and the team was taken to Police station. They were in Police lock-up at Hirapur Police station- Asansol and was produced in the Court on 16th March. The team members were conducting an open-air preaching in a village where they had conducted a baptism service last week. Few elements in the village did not like that baptism service and they were looking for a chance for revenge. When the team members were conducting an open-air preaching, they were arrested as a result of the complaint given by the local people. Later they were falsely charged with non-bailable charges like conversion by force and conversion by paying money.

3. Evangelist Satyanaran Soren.
4. Evangelist Nipen Das.
5. Bro. Rajesh Das.
6. Bro. Animesh.
Four of them are full time evangelists and BBTI graduates and other two are poor believers from Kalyanpur(Jharkhand) and Burnpur(W.B) Assemblies. Three of them are married and have small children. It is hard on them. They are all needy and new evangelists. They need our prayers and assistance at this junture. God has to provide for their legal and other immediate expenses. They are accussed under section 153A and 295A Indian Penal Code. But trust in the Lord that He has higher plans and purposes. May His name be glorified
